Kenji Kushida is Senior Fellow at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace Asia Program directing Japan programming, and he leads the Japan-Silicon Valley Innovation Initiative @ Carnegie (J-SV). Previously a Research Scholar at the Shorenstein Asia-Pacific Research Center (APARC) at Stanford University, he spearheaded the Stanford Silicon Valley-New Japan Project (SV-NJ). He is also Senior Advisor to global advisory firm Macro Advisory Partners, an International Research Fellow at the Canon Institute for Global Studies (CIGS). He was recently a nonresident senior fellow at the Tokyo Foundation for Policy Research (TKFD) and lecturer at the Freeman Spogli Institute for International Studies at Stanford University.
Kushida holds a PhD in political science from the University of California, Berkeley, an MA in East Asian studies and BAs in economics and East Asian studies, all from Stanford University.
